About us

The spring and summer schools of the Institute of International Studies have been held since 2009. They are focused on current social and political developments in Europe and international relations on a global scale. These courses are accredited by FSV UK and internationally recognized. In addition to the academic program, cultural and social activities and excursions are also prepared for students.

Why to join us?

The key objective of the Spring School 2025 is to understand the reasons for the emergence of conflicts in the contemporary world with examples of contemporary types of conflicts in the world (the Post-Soviet space, the Balkans, the Middle East). Related to this is an understanding of the reasons for social and political polarisation – both in European society and in the United States. Populism is partly behind the polarisation itself – it is therefore necessary to understand its origins and patterns.

The course’s interdisciplinary approach combines teaching methods such as

  • multiple learning methods
  • lectures and in-class discussions
  • individual assignment
  • independent research
  • and much more 🧡
