Mgr. Jan Váška, Ph.D.
Jan Váška obtained Ph.D. in area studies (Charles University in Prague) in 2016. Currently he works as assistant professor at Department of European Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University. He has published on European integration, British politics and British foreign and European policy. He also teaches courses on West European history, international relations and current European and international issues. His doctoral thesis (to be published as monograph in 2017) employed discourse analytical tools to investigate the conceptual framework – organising ideas, norms and commitments – of British foreign and European policy in the New Labour era and to explore the sources of transformation of foreign policy discourses of serving governments. He has participated in several international projects.
